# Dashboard Reference

> A page-by-page map of the Unbound dashboard, and what each role can reach

One page here for each page of the Unbound dashboard: where it is, which role reaches it, what is on it, and the errors it can show.

Your dashboard is at [gateway.getunbound.ai](https://gateway.getunbound.ai), or your organization's own domain if your admin has set one up. Every path below is relative to that.

<Note>
  Your sidebar reflects your role and the features your organization has enabled. Each page below states the roles that reach it, and your admin can confirm which features are switched on.
</Note>

## Roles

Three roles can be assigned:

| Role                 | What it means                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              |
| -------------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Admin** | Full access, including billing and every write |
| **Analytics Viewer** | Reads the whole organization and writes nothing — every create and edit control is hidden. **Billing**, **Harness** and **Cost Management → Cost Exemptions** are closed to this role, and Configure offers the CLI quickstart rather than the deploy flow |
| **Member** | Sees their own activity |

**Manager** is not assigned — you become one when somebody records you as their manager. It widens the data you see to your reportees' as well. It adds no write permission.

## What each role sees

Several are also per-organization features. If your role should see something and you don't, ask your admin whether it is switched on.

## Controls that work the same everywhere

### Finding a page

**⌘K** on a Mac, **Ctrl+K** elsewhere, opens a command palette from anywhere in the dashboard. It searches pages and sections — *Search pages and sections…* — and lists only what your role can reach, so it doubles as a way to see your own access. The sidebar also carries a **Search** button showing the same shortcut.

### The sidebar

The sidebar collapses to icons and back, and it stays the way you left it on your next visit. **Docs** at the foot opens this documentation in a new tab.

### Notifications

The **bell** in the header carries the background work Unbound has done for you. It holds the newest **50** items, refreshes itself while you are signed in, and shows a badge with the count — `9+` beyond nine. Only an **Admin** or **Analytics Viewer** is served notifications; for anyone else the bell opens empty.

| You are told when | Who sees it |
| ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | ----------------------------------- |
| A **download is ready**, with its filename and row count | The person who asked for it |
| A **download failed** | The person who asked for it |
| A **device scan completed** | Every **Admin** in the organization |
| An **API key rotation** starts, and again when it completes — the same row changes from *in progress* to *complete* | The admin who started it |
| **Auto top-up** is configured, its card is replaced, or a charge succeeds or fails | Every **Admin** in the organization |

<Note>
  Device scan notices go to every Admin, not only whoever triggered the scan — which is why you get notified about scans you did not run.
</Note>

| Control              | Effect                                                                                                                                      |
| -------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Clear All** | Clears the finished notifications for your account, permanently. Clearing is **Admin**-only, so for an Analytics Viewer the list comes back |
| The **×** on one row | Hides that row for the rest of this visit. Nothing is saved, so it returns when you reload |

Most of these are in-app only — a download, a device scan or a key rotation is never emailed. **Auto top-up** notices are the exception: they are emailed to every Admin as well as posted to the bell. To route Unbound events into a channel a human watches, use [Webhooks](/integrations/webhooks).

### Exporting

Tables that export produce CSV of the current view, so your filters and time range carry into the file. Exports are available to **Admin** and **Analytics Viewer**.

One export carries up to **25,000 rows**, and the period dialog says so on screen — *Pick a period. Max 25,000 rows.* You are told before the export runs, not afterwards; narrowing the range or the filters brings it back under.

Two dialogs handle exports, and they word things differently. Where you pick a **period**, the dialog names the filters being applied or says **No filters applied.** Where you pick **columns**, it offers **Select all** and **Reset to default**, and asks you to **Pick the columns to include.**

| Message                                            | Where   | What it means                                                        |
| -------------------------------------------------- | ------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| `Nothing to export in this period.` | Period | No rows match the current filters and range |
| `Too many rows. Choose a shorter period.` | Period | More rows than one export carries. Shorten the range or add a filter |
| `Could not check this period. Try a shorter one.` | Period | The row count could not be established. A shorter range resolves it |
| `Nothing to export.`                               | Columns | No rows match the table's current filters                            |
| `Too many rows. Narrow the table's filters first.` | Columns | More rows than one export carries. Filter the table, then export |
| `Could not check this export. Try again.` | Columns | The row count could not be established. Retry |
| `Pick at least one column.` | Columns | An export needs at least one column selected |

A large export is prepared in the background and the bell tells you when the file is ready. A finished file stays available for **6 hours**, after which you run the export again.

#### What the CSV does to your data

Values are normalised so a spreadsheet opens the file correctly:

* Newlines inside a value become spaces, so each record stays on one row.
* A value longer than **32,000** characters is cut.
* Some values carry a leading `'`.

On the Logs, Tasks, Users and AI Tools Discovery exports a cut value ends `… [truncated]` so you can tell, and plain numbers are left alone. The Analytics Tool Use export cuts without a marker.

For a prompt in full rather than truncated, read it in [Logs](/dashboard/logs) rather than in the CSV.

### Tables

Sortable columns are marked in their header and sort on selection. Long tables page, and selecting a row opens that row's panel — each page below describes the panel it opens.

Where a table offers it, a filter icon labelled **Choose columns** sits in the table header: it lists the hideable columns with a *Filter columns...* box for finding one by name, and carries a badge counting how many you have hidden.

### Time ranges

Analytics tabs share one range selector, and your choice persists between visits. A custom range shows a **✓** on the menu label while active.
