MCP Connections is where you create the key an MCP client connects to Unbound with, and revoke it.

Generate Key	Creates your MCP key. Shown when you do not have one yet
API Token and Setup Command	Shown once, right after the key is generated, each with a copy control
MCP Connection	With a key in place: when it was created, and Revoke Key

The new key appears one time. Copy the API Token and the Setup Command before you press Done, because the token is not shown again. When an MCP client connects through its own sign-in flow, the page completes the connection by itself and no token is shown.

What you can do

Action	Result
Generate Key	Creates the key and shows its token and setup command once
Copy the Setup Command	Gives you the command to run on the client
Revoke Key	Opens a confirmation titled Revoke MCP Key. Revoking is permanent and stops every client using the key until it is reconnected with a new one

Messages you may see

Message	What it means
`Failed to generate key. Please try again.`	The key was not created. Try again
`Failed to revoke key. Please try again.`	The key is still active. Try again
`Connection Failed`	A client’s sign-in could not be completed with your key. Close the window and try again
`Invalid Request`	The MCP server address in the link is not valid. Close the window and try again
