What’s in the Unbound dashboard, section by section, and — the part that trips people up most — what each role actually sees. Your dashboard is at gateway.getunbound.ai, or your organization’s own domain if your admin has set one up. Everything below uses paths relative to that.
If a section described here isn’t in your sidebar, that is usually your role or a feature your organization hasn’t enabled — not a fault. Unbound hides what you can’t use rather than showing it greyed out, so a missing item looks the same as one that doesn’t exist. The table further down says who sees what.

Roles

There are three roles you can be assigned: Manager is not assigned — you become one when somebody in your organization has you recorded as their manager. It widens the data you can see, from your own activity to your reportees’ as well; it doesn’t add any write permission.

What each role sees

And within Analytics: Several of these are also per-organization features. If your role should see something and you don’t, ask your admin whether it’s enabled for you.

The sections

Home

Your organization at a glance — spend, activity, and recommendations that need attention. Where you land after signing in.

Connect (or Configure)

Where you get your API key and the command to set up a coding tool. Two versions of this page exist, and which one you have depends on your organization:
  • If Connect is in your sidebar, go to Connect → AI Coding Tools and pick your tool.
  • If it isn’t, use the Configure button in the top-right of the header instead.
On Connect → AI Coding Tools, Roo Code, Cline, Kilo Code and Custom Access show the key in its own field with a Copy button and a Regenerate button. Every other tool has the key already embedded in the setup command shown on the page — copy the whole command. On Configure, the key is inside the install command in step 3. It’s masked on screen and complete when you copy it.
The Configure button only appears for Admins and Analytics Viewers. If you have neither Connect in the sidebar nor a Configure button, your role can’t reach the key from the dashboard — ask an admin, or install the Unbound CLI and run unbound login, which fetches it for you.Regenerating a key depends on whose key it is. You can regenerate an API key you own, whatever your role. Regenerating someone else’s needs Admin — otherwise the request is refused with Only the application owner or an admin can regenerate this key.Adding a provider API key under Settings → Provider API Keys is a different thing and is Admin-only: anyone else gets You don’t have permission to create API keys.

Analytics

Spend, activity and agent behaviour. See Analytics & Reporting for what each tab holds.

Policies

Where you author what agents may and may not do — Agentic Use for terminal commands and MCP tool calls, Data for guardrails and account access, Usage for budgets and spend limits, Model where your organization has gateway access. Analytics Viewers can read policies but not create or change them.

AI Tools Discovery

Every AI tool, MCP server, rules file and skill found across your devices — including ones nobody sanctioned. Summary, Inventory and Permissions.

Logs

Every LLM call and agent task, filterable by user, model, tool and time.

Custom Reports

Build your own queries and dashboards over your Unbound data.

Cost Management

Per-user spend against limits, rate-limit hits, and cost exemptions. Where an admin raises one person’s limit without changing the policy.

Users

Everyone in your organization, their roles and their tools. User Groups is the second tab — groups scope policies and confer no permissions of their own.

Billing

Payments, usage and invoices. Admin only — nobody else sees this section.

Settings

Provider API Keys, Devices, Integrations, Policy Enforcement and Webhooks. There is no budget setting here — budgets are cost policies, under Policies → Usage.

Try It

A sandbox for trying policies against sample traffic before you enforce them.

If a page bounces you back

Opening a page your role can’t see returns you to Home or to Analytics Overview without a message. That’s the same signal as a missing sidebar item: the section exists, your role doesn’t reach it. Check the table above, then ask an admin.
